THE BATTLE OF COPENHAGEN WAS BEING FOUGHT. IN 1802 THE WEST INDIA DOCKS WERE COMPLETED IN 1803 THE NAPOLEONIC WAR BEGAN 2 YEARS AFTER HE WAS BORN. He was a Stonemason and was a widower when he married Lydia Harris. His son William was from his first marriage. His marriage to Lydia was witnessed by Thomas Dyke who we think was the father of Sophia who married Charles the son of William and Lydia. Unable to find (need to know) records to date but have found following information. Sarah Penn of St Martins Birmingham married James Cooper on 6 October 1822 in St Phillips Church Birmingham. The witnesses were Elizabeth Peakman and John Loveridge.
